About Us

Our School

St. Broghans’s National School Bracknagh is a rural school located in Bracknagh village on the border of Kildare and Offaly.It is located approximately 4 miles from Rathangan, Co. Kildare and 6 miles from Portalington, Co . Offaly. The school is located on the
left side of the road approximately 300 metres from Murphys shop.

The school caters for boys and girls from junior infants to sixth class. At present there are approximately 87 pupils on roll. We are a catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin.

Our school is a health promoting school and has a healthy eating policy. We are also a " Green School" as we are involved in the Green Schools progamme to increase environmental awareness.

At present there are 4 classroom teachers and a special educational needs teacher. Currently there are 4 class groups divided into Junior and Senior Infants, First and Second class, Third and Fourth class and finally Fifth and Sixth class.

Pupils from St Broghans’s N.S usually attend secondary school in Portalington or Rathangan.
