What is Green Schools?
The Green schools Programme is an international environmental education programme and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole-school action for the environment.

We are currently carrying out the Green Schools Programme in our school. We have already achieved for first Green Flag for reducing
litter and waste and improving the school environment. We are currently working towards our 2nd Flag for Energy Awareness.

What can you do to help?

If you have any of the following items please send them into school any day with your child .

  • used postage stamps (in aid of Irish Peatland Conservation Society, Lullymore).

  • old phones ( in aid of The Jack and Jill Foundation).

  • used printer cartridges (in aid of The Jack and Jill Foundation).

  • old batteries (to be recycled by Offaly County Council).

Thank you to all those parents and children who continue to contribute to our Recycling Collection Point. The number of stamps, ink cartridges, phone and batteries we recieve is increasing daily.
